Hughes Network Systems has announced the availability of its DW6000 satellite broadband modem. It's self-hosting (no software to load) and so it's compatible with Macintosh systems. Also, it's a two-way satellite broadband system so no phone line is needed. Good news for folks who can't get DSL or cable broadband due to location.
OpenOffice.org has made release 1.1 available for download. Now. Well? What are you waiting for? Go get it!
