Don't forget that you can now register for a national "Do Not Call" list for telemarketers (in the US). There's probably loopholes galore, but it's a good start. Oh, yeah, it's busier than all get out!

Thanks to /., I was referred to an article with a pretty straightforward explanation of how Bayesian filtering works in attempting to rid your e-mail of SPAM. There's even a pointer to a drop-in Bayesian filter for Outlook 2000 and Outlook XP. Too bad for me, I am still using Outlook 98...
At least the Mozilla mail program implements a Bayesian SPAM filter. Which reminds me... I should probably download the 1.4 RC 3 (Release Candidate 3) release of Mozilla.

Lordy, do I love the Pitchfork Media website some days... Like today! They have a great article listing the 20 worst post-breakup bands. There are some choice ones in there too.

Well, thanks to my wonderful wife, I now have my first copy of Epoxy. Specifically, Epoxy 3 by John Pham. I haven't had a chance to read it yet. But, I paged through it rather quickly. Looked pretty cool! I think this was something recommended to me by Rachel at Atomic Books. You should check them out for some cool stuff that's always worth the time to read.
OK, I'm going to try and be a bit more diligent about including what I'm currently rocking out to in my future posts...
Thanks to a friend of mine in Madison, WI, I was turned onto Broken Social Scene and their current album, "You Forgot It In People". Some great rockin' stuff.
Mmm hmm!

It looks like OpenOffice has brought the Mac OSX version out of Beta. The 1.0 GM (General Master) is available for download here. Looks like support for right-to-left languages will not be included until release 1.1 (due sometime this fall). Oh, yeah, the download is 170MB! 56K beware!
As you may or may not know, Apple has finally announced the new PowerMac G5. I'll leave it to you to figure out what the specs are for this sleek new machine.
According to this article at The Register (one of my favorite sites for daily tech news), Steve Jobs is saying that we can expect a 3GHz G5 in about 12 months time. I guess we'll see.
