The Register (one of my favorite daily tech news sites) is reporting that an AGP versions of some of their top of the line GPU are now available. The X800XL uses a PCI-E to AGP bridge chip while the X850 XT is an AGP-native card.
I'll probably wait to see performance numbers of these cards before making any decision on whether it will be worth upgrading from my Hercules 3D Prophet Radeon 9700 Pro (which still performs more than admirably). Besides I'm curious about how these cards will stack up against the Nvidia 6600GT AGP.
